A Little About Us . . .
Black Chicken Coffee opened in 2003 and was located on 2nd Avenue, in Lexington, NC. The original owners named the shop after their little black terrier “Buffy”. Buffy was scared of every thing so they called her their “Little Black Chicken”.
Jeff and I bought the coffee shop in May 2013 and moved it to the new location in June 2013. We love being here to serve our customers and we are especially enjoying living here in Lexington, NC.
We were at a transitional time in our lives and we came to Lexington one afternoon to visit and heard that the coffee shop was for sale. And just a few days later, we were closing a consignment shop we had in Randleman, NC and I quit my job and we took on this new venture.
We have already made some great new friends and want to thank all of you for making us feel like we belong here.
